Joyful, noisy jubilee celebration

joyful, noisy jubilee celebration

Childcare has been a priority in bad rodach for decades. That this is not just a lip service was demonstrated last saturday by the city’s day care center for children "marienkafer" which was opened 50 years ago.

Language diversity

With a joyful celebration, which was dominated by the children of the day care center, in addition to the usual speeches, they celebrated "in a rough frame" the special anniversary. In several languages – besides german, including russian, bulgarian, turkish, persian and bosnian, and the world language english – the head of the facility, heike werner, buried the numerous guests in the gerold strobel hall, thus documenting the diversity of nationalities represented in the daycare facility. She pointed out that she and her team saw it as the most important task to treat the children in the funfgruppigen facility with respect and love. It is important to give the children space to play, to have fun and also to make mistakes. "We stand for giving the children entrusted to us an open heart that also understands them", emphasized heike werner. It made no secret of the fact that the demands on day care centers had changed enormously in recent years. More and more, the institution must fulfill the task of helping parents balance work and family life.

1847 "day care center"

Bad rodach’s mayor tobias ehrlicher (SPD) recalled that childcare has a long tradition in the spa town and reported on the past: the first childcare facility was then called "kleinkinder-bewahranstalt" and was opened on the initiative of the then superintendent theodor draeseke on 1 april 1847. April 1847 opened. The successor to this facility was established in 1899 in the jagerhaus at the schlossplatz. The rodach children were cared for there until 1945. But the building was completely destroyed by war events. The girls and boys then found a new place to stay in the former "strecker garden house" (today’s social station of the red cross). "Two kindergarten teachers took care of 90 children in a very confined space", paid tobias ehrlicher. The mayor continued: "despite this space constraint, it took until 1969 before the children could move to the new kindergarten in marienstrabe."

Ibisevic looks forward to city duel against union and subotic

"We know each other for a long time. We have often played against each other. He was in mainz, i was in hoffenheim," said the 34-year-old striker at hertha’s training camp in neuruppin, brandenburg. "He is an experienced player, i am an experienced player."

Dortmund’s long-serving central defender subotic (30) was last brought back to the bundesliga by union. In the 2. He played against ibisevic, then of hoffenheim, for the first time in the first league for FSV mainz 05 almost twelve years ago. The kraichgau team won 1-0 at home. Hertha will now face union on the tenth matchday of this season at the beginning of november. "We have a city derby coming up. That’s a nice thing to do," said ibisevic. "We are all happy, of course, it is good for the city."

The bosnian will captain hertha for the fourth season, a decision announced by new coach ante covic over the weekend. "I am proud to remain captain. Schroder and okc start new nba season with loss

Schroder and okc start new nba season with loss

Dennis schroder has failed to start his seventh NBA season. The national basketball player suffered a 95-100 (46-49) defeat at the hands of the utah jazz in his first match with the oklahoma city thunder in the north american professional league.

The 26-year-old from braunschweig had a mixed performance in salt lake city, scoring only three points but grabbing six rebounds and four assists. If the newly formed thunder are to make the playoffs again this season after the departure of superstar russell westbrook to the houston rockets, a clear improvement will be necessary in the coming months.

"We gave this win away, but it still feels good the way we played," said set-up man chris paul. The 34-year-old came to OKC for westbrook and is now expected to lead the team. In his debut for the thunder, the nine-time all-star scored 22 points; only rookie shai gilgeous-alexander was better on his team with 26 digits. "We gave away too many throws near the basket," criticized coach billy donovan.

David muller hits the clay bottle on the first strike

David muller hits the clay bottle on the first strike

There has only been one such event in wolfsdorf since the cock-flipping competition was held on the occasion of the kirchweih: david muller from wolfsdorf, whose lot was drawn first, hit the clay bottle buried in the ground with a flail and became the proud winner of a live rooster.
The spectacle had hardly started during the half-time break of the soccer game, when it was already over again. For the 13-year-old david muller did not torch long and smashed the clay bottle blindfolded. The two fubball teams, strengthened by pfalzer kirchweih visitors, fought a hard-fought duel. The older ones prevailed against the younger ones with 3:1.
Many visitors took advantage of the sunny weather to visit the wolfsdorfer kirchweih on the last day of the festival.
Carolin nublein and judith lohneis cured the kirchweih-pobel-pair during the evening: in the men’s competition a mabkrugstemmen was to decide the winner. Michael peschel and florian gack were in agreement, however, and both lowered their mugs at the same time for a toast. In the women’s category, the jury was unanimous in its "enthronement" by jana hammer. Thu

Behind the scenes of the bnd

Behind the scenes of the bnd

The group of burgers from the districts of bad kissingen, habberge and rhon-grabfeld visited, among other things, the headquarters of the federal intelligence service (bnd) and the bavarian state representation in the german capital.

"Glad it finally worked out!" Elmar grau from ramsthal is pleased about the opportunity to travel to berlin for once. A good year ago, he expressed his interest in a trip to the german capital in the burgers’ office of sabine dittmar, a member of the bundestag for the SPD. A path open to all burgers. "We try to fulfill the wishes as good as possible and to consider everybody, even if it can take a little time", reports carolin schiefer, a member of sabine dittmar’s constituency office in bad kissingen, who is the four-day trip supervised.

In cooperation with the federal press office, she had put together an interesting and varied program. One of the highlights was certainly the visit to the headquarters of the federal intelligence service (BND). The guests were impressed by what the speaker, who himself had spent years in the intelligence service, had to say about his own work.

Golden times on the green turf

Golden times on the green turf

Two soccer clubs from kulmbach in the 3. League – yes, there really was. "But that will never come back, says jurgen "lui" hofmann, who himself experienced these golden times on the grassy turf. At the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties, TSV trebgast (1977 to 1981) and ATS kulmbach (1974 to 1982) played together in the bavarian league. "Lui" hofmann was a left-winger at the ATS. He remembers: "the number of spectators was unimaginable compared to today. 3200 spectators came to georg hagen stadium for the derby against trebgast." The home of the ATS in mittelau, inaugurated in 1949, had to make way for the expansion of the EKU brewery in 1987, and the ATS rebuilt on the grunen wiese in the weiher district of town. What "lui" hofmann still regrets today: "the loyal spectators from the city did not move with us back then. This also contributed to the downfall of the ATS soccer department." He believes that a merger with tsv 08 and the construction of a new stadium in katzbachtal would have been better for kulmbach soccer. "But unfortunately TSV 08 refused", says hofmann, who also worked for the "nullachter" for many years and was promoted to the national league with them in 1975. Later, hofmann returned to his hometown club ats, for which he played one more season in the bavarian league.

Even if soldner and wandervogel were still in the absolute minority among the footballers at that time – high class football without "money" was unthinkable even then. ATS owed the bavarian league to good youth work, but above all to football enthusiasts like manfred eckardt, heinz ritter and hans ellner. "There were already a few marks at that time, but they were also lured with jobs with the sponsors," recalls moos, says hofmann.

Mazen makes it possible

TSV trebgast, which at that time had a population of only 1200, also owes its best and probably never to be repeated glory days to a mazen with a penchant for soccer. Swimwear manufacturer peter oehme (solar) had plants first in trebgast and later in bindlach. "Our chairman at the time, heinz beck, was an authorized signatory of the solar company," he says, says hans-jurgen "charly" moos, who 42 years ago sensationally promoted TSV trebgast to the bavarian league. "We were the peasants everywhere, all the opponents asked where our farm was located", smiles moos. As captain, he played a major role in the TSV’s three promotions within six years, from the A-class through the district league and the state league to the highest amateur division. "The ouand was not without. We all worked, but trained three or four times a week", says the 71-year-old. Particularly remembered are moos a respectable 2:2 in the 1980/81 season against the "rough" FC schweinfurt 05 or a 2:0 victory at the amateurs of FC bayern munchen with walter junghans in goal. When the "little bavarians for the first time in trebgast – still on the old main field – also the late world champion klaus augenthaler was playing. "He was terribly upset about our field", recalls moos. Today’s bundesliga team FC augsburg was also an opponent of TSV.

Breakthrough at the kulturquartier in bamberg?

breakthrough at the kulturquartier in bamberg?

Rainer pfaff, mario nimke and maximilian mende can hardly believe their happiness on this day. A few minutes ago, the conversion senate made a decision that seems to reward the protagonists of the association cultural quarter lagarde for their activities. Pfaff and his comrades-in-arms have been fighting since 2016 for a cultural and social center on the land of the former lagarde barracks. Bamberg-east is to get a center.

Now, for the first time, it seems as if the city also wants to nail its head to the wall and slip into a responsible role. According to the unanimous decision, a three- to five-year laboratory situation is to be created in the former u.S. Post office hall, a wide building in front of the riding hall – a house of culture in the early stages of development. One formulation in particular is important: the use of the post hall is to be "under the leadership of the cultural office" this means that the city will not be able to avoid the coordination and the associated personnel costs, as well as the costs for the construction of the rooms.

It’s not a simple matter when you consider the hall’s impressive size: it has two sales for 600 and 200 visitors each, a club bar, two studio rooms and a number of other social, work and storage areas. Ursula sowa has worked out the most clearly the soft position. In the conversion senate, the city councilwoman of the green faction spoke of a breakthrough and of the city’s commitment that had finally been made. But they did not leave it at that: now it was a matter of negotiating a time schedule and naming the costs.

Oldest world champion: firat arslan wants to make history

Firat arslan has even left his family for a while to pursue his dream. "I didn’t see my children for weeks. It’s very, very painful, but I have to set priorities," says arslan.

On 8. February arslan wants to make boxing history and become the oldest world champion in history at the age of 49 years and 133 days. He took over from bernard hopkins, who won the world cup again in 2013 at the age of 48 and 53 days.

To this end, arslan must dethrone the 22-year-younger IBO champion kevin lerena from sud africa in goppingen. For him, the stakes are high even without the title. For the ex-world champion is not only entering the ring as a main fighter. He is also the organizer of the 5600-seat EWS arena. He had paid a six-figure sum in advance. "If the fight had to be cancelled because of an infection, it would have been a financial fiasco for me," stresses the cruiserweight. But there had not been a cancellation with him in 30 years.

Helping in the bursting time

Helping in the bursting time

Vanilla crescents, gluhwein, speculoos: the christmas season is a time of pounds for many people.

Apparently, however, it is enough to follow a series of simple tips to avoid the furrowed holiday kilos – at least that is the result of a study by six researchers from the british universities of birmingham and loughborough, which they present in the medical journal "the BMJ".

The fact that the end of the year is a challenge for the slim left is nothing new: germans are at their fattest ten days after christmas, US researchers from cornell university found back in 2016. On average, participants in the corresponding experiment gained 0.6 percent over the holidays.

Hans stockl resigns from office

Hans stockl resigns from office

On 1. July 2011 began 0the tenure of hans stockl at the HSC 2000 coburg. On 31. December 2012, however, the short era of the managing director of HSC coburg gmbh will already end again.
The 67-year-old coburg resident has come to a decision: yes, you’re right. I will resign from my post at the end of the year". The handball-enthusiastic functionary thus confirmed a corresponding tageblatt inquiry.
Things had developed internally differently from what he had imagined. The former head of human resources at waldrich makes no bones about it. But he does not want to say more about it at the moment.
The assumption that during his almost one-and-a-half-year tenure, there were repeated differences of opinion with the other decision-makers at the third-division handball club is obvious. "I informed our shareholders about my move a long time ago".

Will knauer successor?

Stockl would not confirm that jochen knauer, the former authorized signatory of HSC gmbh and already stockl’s predecessor as managing director, will take over this responsible office again in the new year. As head of the gmbh, he also handled player contracts in the last few months and was present at negotiations with possible new recruits.
Marten beck, the association’s legal advisor, described stockl as "a business professional who knows the ropes" when he took up his post. HSC 2000 coburg will soon have to do without this one.
But not on the "fan hans stockl, who, together with his family, hardly missed a home game in the HUK arena or, before that, in the angerhalle in recent years. For the outgoing manager, the HSC 2000 coburg remains a "matter of the heart": "I will remain connected to the club and keep my fingers crossed that it will still work out with the promotion".
